Definition and Cause of Fibromyalgia
Fibromyalgia is a neurosensory disorder characterized by widespread muscle pain, joint stiffness, and fatigue. For many years fibromyalgia was not even recognized as an actual physical disorder.
There is no specific known cause, and it could be brought on by many factors. The main symptoms are chronic pain throughout the body and fatigue. The pain may be achy, sharp, radiating, burning, or shooting and it may be mild or severe. Fibromyalgia has also been associated with other conditions like trouble sleeping, headaches, depression, and anxiety.
